Mongolia is landlocked country and neighbors with two majestic countries such as  Russian, China even though it does not share borders with Kazakhstan they are 36.76 km apart from each other. Our country is very rich with its unique landscape and beautiful sightseeing. Mongolia is famous as having vast steppes and its unique habitats such as endangered desert bear, wild horse or we say Mongolian zebra, snow leopard. While traveling you will have the chance to see the tomb of ancient khunnu people and rock paintings of bronze era. The snow capped mountains  and unique lakes and rivers that has own powerful meaning to the locals. When you arrive in Mongolia and travel by countryside and to the rural areas you will find nomadic culture starting from herders that taking care of the stock of cow, sheep, goat and even two-humped camels which give plenty of natural wealth. Capital city of Mongolia- Ulaanbaatar

The modern nomadic capital is called Ulaanbaatar from Mongolian language, it will be translated as Red-Hero. Since 1921 capital city had become the symbol of the independence, freedom, the history of politics. Mongolia had other capital city called Khar Khorum as it was established during the 12th century by Great Chinggis Khaan.  During 1639-1921 the capital was moved 4 times and on the 29th of October 1924 Government adopted Ulaanbaatar city as its capital. 

Nomads and Culture

Nowadays, even though we are urbanized we cannot escape from the fact that we are nomads. Over 70 per cent of the total population live in traditional gers and close to 400,000 herders have more than 30 million livestock. The nature of nomads is to move from one place to another depending on the season. They have special lands inherited by their ancestors, suitable for the livestock to pass the winter, summer, autumn, spring times. You will see how does the nomadic family get along with their daily life as it is very simple during the summer times , but when it comes to winter time it is harsh as you have to take care of the livestock constantly, if they lack of attention you might lose them in cold snowy weather.

Modern nomads are well known by their rich heritage and well know to the world with its natural wealth and resources.
